With an extra scheduled record date for the month of March, we decided to put out another bonus episode! For this bonus episode, we did a random selection of 2 films from IMDB's Top 250 films of all time. First we discuss the bleak and depressing WWII film COME AND SEE, then we jump into one of the definitive film noir pictures DOUBLE INDEMNITY. Next month's theme and episodes are revealed. For the month of the March, we embark upon our new theme by discussing 2 films made by female directors! First we delve into the 1987 vampire western NEAR DARK, which was directed by Academy Award Winning director Kathryn Bigelow, and contains a fun performance by the late Bill Paxton. Then we delve into the French coming of age story GIRLHOOD, which was directed by Céline Sciamma. Stay tuned to hear what else we have in store for you this month.
